Plain terms for a simple app.

Learn to Daven (the app and the website at learntodaven.app) is published by Short Form Media Co. By using either you agree to these terms. They are short because the app is simple: it is free, it needs no account, and it asks nothing of you but a few minutes in the morning.

Using the app

The app is licensed to you, not sold, for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to every app on the App Store. It is provided free of charge. We may update it, change its content, or stop offering it at any time.

The content

The teachings, stories, translations of the taught lines, written entries, the app's design and the character art (Ari, Namer, Nesher and Tzvi) are original work by Zoli Honig and Short Form Media Co., and are protected by copyright. You may quote from them for personal study and teaching with attribution to Learn to Daven. You may not copy the lessons wholesale, sell them, or present them as your own.

The Hebrew text of the siddur is the shared inheritance of the Jewish people. The weekday siddur texts in the app come from freely licensed sources credited inside the app under About and credits, and any errors in them are ours to fix: please report them to the address below.

What we cannot promise

The app is a study companion, offered as is. We work hard on accuracy, but we make no warranty that any text, translation or teaching is free of error, and nothing in it is a halachic ruling. For questions of practice, ask your rav. To the fullest extent the law allows, Short Form Media Co. is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app or website.

Privacy

The app collects nothing about you. The details are in our privacy policy.

Changes and contact

We may revise these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions: support@learntodaven.app.
