Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. Open the app and today's session is there. There is nothing to sign up for.

Does it work without internet?

Yes, always. The whole bundled year and the siddur are inside the app, so it works in airplane mode and in a shul with no signal.

How much of the year is in the app?

162 sessions are bundled today. The full curriculum is 312 sessions, six days a week for a year, and the rest arrive in app updates as they are finished.

I daven Nusach Ari. Is it there?

Not yet, and we would rather say so than approximate it. Siddur Mode ships with Ashkenaz, Sefard and Edot HaMizrach. The Kehot Nusach Ari text is under copyright, so a free-culture Ari siddur has to be cleared before it can ship. Sefard is the closest of the three in the meantime, and Ari is the next thing we are working on.

Why is a line in my siddur not marked?

A line is marked only where the series has actually taught it, and only where our text and the printed rite match. Coverage differs by nusach for exactly that reason. If you find a line that should be marked and is not, tell us which day and which prayer and we will look.

Something in a teaching looks wrong.

Please write. Tell us the day number and what is off. A wrong citation in the sources matters more to us than almost anything else on this page, because the sources are where we invite you to go and check for yourself.

My streak looks wrong.

The streak treats Shabbos as a day off, not a broken day, because the series runs six days a week. If you kept every session and it still reset, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.

Can I get it on Android or iPad?

It is iPhone only right now. An iPad layout and an Android version are both wanted, and neither has a date.

Requests to delete your data have nothing to delete: the app stores everything on your iPhone and sends nothing anywhere. See Privacy.
