Learn to Daven
Privacy
Effective 30 July 2026
Learn to Daven collects nothing. There is no account to make, no data to send, and nothing for us to see.
This is not a policy written to leave room. The app makes no network requests at all. Every session, every translation and the whole bundled siddur are compiled into the app itself, which is why it works in airplane mode. There is no server for your reading to reach even if we wanted it to.
What stays on your iPhone
Your progress, your streak, your bookmarks and your settings are stored on the device using Apple's standard preference storage. Notes you write on a session are saved in a file inside the app's own storage. All of it is removed if you delete the app.
What we do not do
- No accounts, sign in, or email collection
- No analytics, crash reporting, or attribution tools
- No advertising, and no advertising identifier
- No App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track
- No location, camera, microphone, photos, or contacts access
- No third-party SDKs of any kind
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled locally by iOS on your device. No push token is created and no server is involved, so nobody knows whether you opened it.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and suitable for any age. Since it collects no data at all, it collects none from children either.
This website
This site is static and carries no analytics, no cookies, and no tracking pixels. It sets nothing in your browser. Our host records ordinary server logs, which we do not use to build any profile of you.
Text sources
The siddur texts in the app come from Sefaria and are used under CC-BY (Siddur Ashkenaz and Siddur Sefard, Metsudah-based) and CC0 (Siddur Edot HaMizrach). Each version is credited by name inside the app under Settings, About and Credits. The daily teachings, the translations of the taught lines and the written entries are original work.
Changes, and how to reach us
